A.I under Public Scrutiny الذكاء الاصطناعي تحت مجهر الرأي العام

 

In its latest  REPORT (Click )  on detecting and countering the misuse of A.I., Anthropic said it identified and disrupted several attempts to use its models for research that could support the development of biological weapons.

“Without the correct safeguards, such capabilities could have catastrophic consequences,” the report said. It also described an Iran-linked actor, most likely the Houthis, that used Anthropic’s Claude to compile targeting information on U.S. Navy warships in the Middle East. It mentioned a separate group in Houthi-controlled northern Yemen that used the model to work on guidance systems for ballistic and hypersonic missiles. (Anthropic said it had banned the associated accounts and came up with ways to reduce future risk.)

 

 

في أحدث  REPORT (انقر) لها حول رصد إساءة استخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي والتصدي لها، ذكرت شركة "أنثروبيك" أنها رصدت وأحبطت عدة محاولات لاستخدام نماذجها في أبحاث تدعم تطوير أسلحة بيولوجية.

أشار التقرير إلى أن "مثل هذه القدرات قد تؤدي إلى عواقب كارثية في حال غياب الضمانات المناسبة". كما وصف التقرير جهةً مرتبطة بإيران -يُرجح أنها جماعة الحوثي- استخدمت نموذج "كلود" (Claude) التابع للشركة لجمع معلومات تهدف إلى تحديد مواقع سفن حربية تابعة للبحرية الأمريكية في الشرق الأوسط. وذكر التقرير أيضاً مجموعة أخرى تنشط في شمال اليمن الخاضع لسيطرة الحوثيين، استخدمت النموذج للعمل على أنظمة توجيه للصواريخ الباليستية والصواريخ التي تفوق سرعتها سرعة الصوت (فرط صوتية). (وقد صرحت "أنثروبيك" بأنها (حظرت الحسابات المرتبطة بتلك الأنشطة ووضعت تدابير للحد من المخاطر المستقبلية).

Dario Amodei, the chief executive of Anthropic, called for a global slowdown of artificial intelligence development in a 3,800-word essay on Saturday, September 12, just days after one of the company’s employees quit over concerns about the safety of the technology.

دعا داريو أمودي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "أنثروبيك" (Anthropic)، إلى 
إبطاء وتيرة تطوير الذكاء الاصطناعي عالمياً، وذلك في مقال نُشر يوم السبت
  12 سبتمبر ويقع في in a 3,800-word essay، وجاء ذلك بعد أيام قليلة فقط من استقالة أحد موظفي الشركة بسبب مخاوف تتعلق بسلامة هذه التقنية.
