يستثمر العالم العربي بشكل كبير في قطاع الطاقة، تُقدّر حجم الاستثمارات في المنطقة في هذا القطاع خلال الفترة 2013-2017م بـ 740 مليار دولار امريكى، وتتوقع الوكالة الدولية للطاقة (IEA) زيادة الطلب العالمي على الطاقة خلال العقود المُقبلة نتيجة للنمو الإقتصادي والسكّاني بمقدار الثلث بحلول العام 2035م.
بهدف تنمية وتعزيز الإمكانيات الواعدة للتعاون في قطاع الطاقة بين الشركاء العرب والألمان، تُنظّم غرفة التجارة والصناعة العربية للمرة الرابعة الملتقى العربي الألماني للطاقة يومي 22 و23 أكتوبر 2013م في فندق أدلون كمبينسكي في برلين. http://www.kempinski.com/en/berlin/hotel-adlon/welcome
يمتلك العالم العربي أكثر من نصف الإحتياطيات النفطية العالمية المؤكدة، وأكثر من ثلث احتياطيات الغاز، هناك طلب متزايد على تقنيات الطاقة الحديثة والمتجددة ومفاهيم إستخداماتها في الدول العربية، مع أن الموارد مثل النفط والغاز والفحم موجودة بكثرة، إلا أن استخدام الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة يبقى خياراً هاماً حتى بالنسبة للبلدان التي لديها احتياطيات كبيرة من المواد الخام.
في الملتقى ستُناقش نُخبة متميّزة من الخبراء العرب والألمان في شئون الطاقة والأوساط الأكاديمية والعلمية، التطورات الأخيرة في المجالات التالية: "الشبكات الذكية والمحطات الإفتراضية لتوليد الكهرباء"، "العلاقة بين المياه والطاقة"، و"الأطر والتمويل"، و"العوامل المتغيّرة: الاتجاهات الحالية والمستقبلية في قطاع الطاقة"، و "تأمين إمدادات الطاقة والطاقات المتجددة".

In order to promote Arab-German business partnerships in the energy sector, the Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing the 4th Arab-German Energy Forum on October 22nd – 23rd, 2013 at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin.
Global energy demand is expected to grow by more than one-third over the period to 2035, as latest figures of the International Energy Agency show. MENA total energy capital investment is to amount to $740bn from 2013-17, according to the Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation.
Both Germany and the Arab world are targeting an increase in renewable energy use to improve energy efficiency and meet the increasing energy demand. The German government plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20%, increase the share of renewable energy in overall energy consumption by 20% and to improve energy efficiency by 20% until 2020.
German enterprises are well known for their sustainable contribution to the development in many sectors and aim at strengthening their partnerships in the Arab world. The German energy industry is a reliable partner in order to reach the energy goals.
