أعلنت شركة أبوظبي لطاقة المستقبل "مصدر"، الرائدة عالمياً في مجال الطاقة المتجددة، وائتلاف شركائها "انفنيتي باور" أكبر شركة للطاقة المتجددة في أفريقيا، وشركة "حسن علام للمرافق" منصة استثمارية للبنية التحتية المستدامة، عن توقيع اتفاقية مع هيئة الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة في مصر، لتوفير قطعة أرض مخصصة لإنشاء مشروع محطة لطاقة الرياح بقدرة إنتاجية تبلغ 10 جيجاواط في جهورية مصر العربية بتكلفة استثمارية تتجاوز ال 10 مليار دولار، والذي سيشكل عند اكتماله أحد أكبر محطات طاقة الرياح في العالم.
صرح هشام الجمل مدير عام بشركة انفينتي باور "نحن سعداء للغاية ببدء العمل في هذا المشروع المهم. إنّ مشروع مزرعة الرياح البرية بقدرة 10 جيجاواط لن يحقق فقط التزامنا خلال قمة الأمم المتحدة المعنية بتغير المناخ (COP 27)، ولكنه سيتيح لنا أيضًا زخماً كبيراً قبل مشاركتنا في القمة القادمة (COP 28).

الرمحي الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة مصدر، وناير فؤاد ، الرئيس التنفيذي
لشركة إنفنيتي باور ، وحسن وعمرو علام ، الرئيسان التنفيذيان لشركة حسن
علام القابضة.
"مصدر" أعلنت خلال شهر مارس الماضي، عن إتمام "انفينتي باور"، الشركة المشتركة بين
"مصدر"، و"انفينتي المصرية"،
صفقة الاستحواذ على جميع أسهم شركة "ليكيلا باور" التي تقوم بتطوير
العديد من مشاريع الطاقة المتجددة في أفريقيا، الصفقة التي تجعل من إنفنيتي باور أكبر
شركة للطاقة المتجددة في القارة الأفريقية . كما أظهرت "مصدر" التزامها بالمساهمة
بدعم قطاع الطاقة النظيفة في القارة من خلال توقيع اتفاقيات خلال شهر يناير
الماضي، لتطوير مشاريع طاقة متجددة بقدرة إجمالية تصل إلى 5 جيجاواط في دول أنغولا
وأوغندا وزامبيا

الماضي اتفاقيات مع مؤسسات مدعومة من الحكومة المصرية للتعاون في تطوير محطات لإنتاج
الهيدروجين الأخضر بقدرة 4 جيجاواط بحلول عام 2030، إضافة إلى عن إنتاج 480 ألف طن
من الهيدروجين الأخضر سنوياً.
Abu Dhabi Future Energy
Company "Masdar", world leader in renewable energy, and its
consortium of partners "Infinity Power", largest renewable energy
company in Africa, and "Hassan Allam Utilities", an investment platform
for sustainable infrastructure, announced the signing of an agreement with the
New and Renewable Energy Authority in Egypt, NREA , to provide a plot of land
allocated for the construction of a wind power plant project with a production
capacity of 10 gigawatts in Egypt, at an investment cost
exceeding $10 billion US dollars, which, when completed, will constitute one of the
largest wind power plants in the world
Hisham El-Gamal, General Manager of Infinity Power, stated, “We are very pleased to start working on this important project. The 10 GW onshore wind farm project will not only fulfill our commitment during the United Nations Climate Change Summit (COP 27), but it will also give us a great impetus ahead of Our participation in the upcoming summit COP 28
The signing ceremony of the
agreement, which was held in Cairo, was attended by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly,
Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry
and Advanced Technology, President-designate of the COP28 Conference, Chairman of
the Board of Directors of "Masdar", and Dr. Mohamed Shaker
Al-Marqabi, Minister Electricity and Renewable Energy in Egypt, Mohamed Jamil
Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, Nayer Fouad, CEO of Infinity Power, and Hassan and
Amr Allam, CEOs of Hassan Allam Holding Company
When completed, the wind power plant will produce 47,790 GWh of clean energy annually and will contribute to avoiding the emission of 23.8 million tons of CO2, equivalent to approximately 9 percent of Egypt's current CO2 emissions.
The
project will contribute to achieving Egypt's goal of ensuring that renewable
energy constitutes 42 percent of the energy mix by 2035
The
project comes within the framework of Egypt's Green Corridor Initiative, which
is a network dedicated to renewable energy projects. The 10 GW wind power plant
will save Egypt an estimated $5 billion US dollars annually in natural gas costs
"Masdar announced last March that "Infinity Power", the joint venture company between "Masdar" and "Infinity of Egypt", had completed the acquisition of all shares of "Lekila Power", which is developing several renewable energy projects in Africa.
The deal that makes Infinity Power
the largest renewable energy company on the African continent. Masdar also
showed its commitment to contribute to supporting the clean energy sector on
the continent by signing agreements last January to develop renewable energy
projects with a total capacity of 5 gigawatts in the countries of Angola,
Uganda and Zambia

Allam Utilities" and "Infinity Power", during the last COP27
conference, signed agreements with institutions supported by the Egyptian
government to cooperate in developing green hydrogen production plants with a
capacity of 4 gigawatts by 2030, in addition to producing 480,000 tons of green hydrogen annually
