والتي إفتتحت عام ١٩١٣ واستمر تشغيلها لفترة أقل من عام، اختفت في دروب
التاريخ. والآن تغطي المبانى والرمال موقع المحطة في حي المعادي جنوبي
القاهرة.

The world’s first industrial-size
solar power plant, completed 1913 and in operation for less than a year,
has disappeared from history. At present, sand and houses cover the
former location in Maadi, south of Cairo.
