Global energy demand is expected to grow by more than one-third over the period to 2035, as latest figures of the International Energy Agency show

Both Germany and the Arab world are targeting an increase in renewable energy use to improve energy efficiency and meet the increasing energy demand. The German government plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20%, increase the share of renewable energy in overall energy consumption by 20% and to improve energy efficiency by 20% until 2020
