يقولون أن نهاية العالم ستكون عام 2100 ...والحقيقة أن نهاية العالم بدأت الأن .
كل شئ يحتضر حولنا . ونحن قاب قوسين أو أدنى من السير قدما نحو الانتحار الجماعى الطبيعة غاضبة على مافعل بها ،وهى قاسية بلا قلب ، لن ترحم من ظن بها الضعف،
وتعامل على أنه سيطر عليها.
أنظر حولك لتعرف ....لقد
أختف البطريق في القارة القطبية الجنوبية. العديد من الدببة تواجه صعوبة في العثور
على الطعام، لأن الجليد البحري الذي اعتمدوا عليه تاريخيًا يرقق ويذوب. ستستمر
النظم الإيكولوجية في التغيير؛ لتتحرك بعض الأنواع أبعد شمالاً ؛ البعض الآخر ،
مثل الدببة القطبية ، لن تكون قادرة على التكيف ويمكن أن تنقرض.
هاجرت بعض الفراشات
والثعالب ونباتات جبال الألب شمالًا أو إلى مناطق أعلى وأكثر برودة. أزدات هطول

لا تستهين بالأمر ..
الصورة أكثر رعبا فالأعاصير والعواصف الأخرى ستصبح أقوى. الفيضانات والجفاف ستصبح
أكثر شيوعًا. أجزاء كبيرة من الولايات المتحدة على سبيل المثال تواجه مخاطر أعلى
لحدوث "موجات جفاف كبيرة على مدى عقود ". ستتوفر كمية أقل من
المياه العذبة ، لأن الأنهار الجليدية تخزن حوالي ثلاثة أرباع المياه العذبة في
العالم .
لا تبكى على اللبن

ومع ذيادة درجتين
فالأوروبيين سيموتون من ضربة شمس ؛ وستظهرالغابات التي دمرتها النيران؛ وتبدأ
النباتات المجهدة في انبعاث الكربون بدلاً من امتصاصه ؛ يواجه ثلث جميع الأنواع
الموجودة على الانقراض.
وفى الدرجة الثالثة
من الزيادة سيتم إطلاق الكربون من الغطاء النباتي والتربة، ويسرع االاحتباس
الحرارى ؛ لتموت غابات الأمازون المطيرة ؛ وتضرب الأعاصير الخارقة المدن الساحلية
؛ وتنتشر المجاعة في أفريقيا.
ومع درجة الحرارة
الرابعة يصبح الاحتباس الحرارى العالمي أمرًا لا يمكن وقفه ؛
تصبح أجزاء كبيرة من بريطانيا غير صالحة للسكن بسبب الفيضانات الشديدة
؛ ومنطقة البحر الأبيض المتوسط مهجورة.
ومع ذيادة درجة الحرارة 5
درجات ينبعث الميثان من قاع المحيط، ويسرع من ظاهرة الاحتباس الحراري ؛
ويختفى الجليد من كلا القطبين ؛ يهاجر البشر بحثًا عن الطعام ويحاولون
