Rimini, 4^th March 2026 – Italy at the centre of the new energy landscape. KEY – The Energy Transition Expo, IEG’s (Italian Exhibition Group) event of reference in Europe, Africa and the Mediterranean basin on energy transition, kicked off this morning. Ongoing until Friday 6^th March, the show will see Rimini Expo Centre hosting over 125,000 square metres of exhibition space in 24 halls with more than 1,000 exhibiting brands, of which about 30% from abroad. More than 500 hosted buyers and delegations from 50 countries are expected to attend thanks to the support of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).

 

KEY 2026 was inaugurated today with an Opening Ceremony attended by the Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin. Speakers included Maurizio Renzo Ermeti, President of IEG, Anna Montini, Rimini Municipal Councillor for Ecological Transition, Maurizio Forte, Central Director for Export Sectors at the Italian Trade Agency, Vinicio Mosé Vigilante, CEO of GSE, and Irene Priolo, Emilia-Romagna Regional Councillor for the Environment, Territorial Planning, Mobility, Transport and Infrastructure.

 

“Italy,” explained Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, “believes in renewables and technological neutrality as part of a concrete, non-ideological sustainable development strategy. International events confirm the importance of investing in energy security while releasing the great potential of renewables: a vision that has also taken shape through the recent Energy Decree. We cannot exclude any vector from our energy mix. This also means focusing, as we have chosen to do through the draft enabling law brought before Parliament, on new, clean, and sustainable nuclear power. The business world at KEY,” Pichetto concluded, “is already interpreting an advanced vision of environment that chooses innovation and quality.”

 

The opening day at KEY – The Energy Transition Expo provided an opportunity to present IEG – Italian Exhibition Group’s SSEC – Storage & Solar Expo Conference, the new B2B event entirely dedicated to solar energy and energy storage systems, to the international energy community.

Scheduled to take place on 22^nd and 23^rd September 2026 at Vicenza Expo Centre, SSEC will be a vertical and highly specialised event, complementary to KEY, whose aim is to offer the market a compact format, centred on direct business and qualified networking between manufacturers, distributors, EPC contractors, designers, investors and large energy users.

With an exclusive focus on photovoltaics, storage and integrated energy management solutions, SSEC aspires to become the new hub of reference for the supply chain, strengthening IEG's position in the energy transition trade show landscape and ensuring continuity of relations with the market throughout the year.

Technology, innovation and research converge in Rimini. تم افتتاح KEY 2026 اليوم بحفل افتتاح حضره وزير البيئة وأمن الطاقة، جيلبرتو بيتشيتو فراتين. شمل المتحدثون ماوريتسيو رينزو إرميتي، رئيس IEG، آنا مونتيني، عضو مجلس بلدية ريميني للانتقال البيئي، ماوريتسيو فورتي، المدير المركزي لقطاعات التصدير في وكالة التجارة الإيطالية، فينيشيو موسيه فيجيلانتي، الرئيس التنفيذي ل GSE، وإيرين بريولو، مستشارة إقليمية إميليا-رومانيا للبيئة والتخطيط الإقليمي والتنقل والنقل والبنية التحتية.

 

شرح جيلبرتو بيتشيتو فراتين، وزير البيئة وأمن الطاقة، أن "إيطاليا تؤمن بالطاقة المتجددة والحياد التكنولوجي كجزء من استراتيجية تنمية مستدامة ملموسة وغير أيديولوجية. تؤكد الأحداث الدولية أهمية الاستثمار في أمن الطاقة مع إطلاق الإمكانات الكبيرة للطاقة المتجددة: وهي رؤية تشكلت أيضا من خلال مرسوم الطاقة الأخير. لا يمكننا استبعاد أي متجه من مزيج الطاقة لدينا. وهذا يعني أيضا التركيز، كما اخترنا من خلال مشروع القانون التمكيني الذي عرض على البرلمان، على الطاقة النووية الجديدة والنظيفة والمستدامة. اختتم بيتشيتو أن عالم الأعمال في KEY "يفسر بالفعل رؤية متقدمة للبيئة تختار الابتكار والجودة."

 

قدم يوم الافتتاح في معرض KEY – معرض الانتقال للطاقة فرصة لعرض مؤتمر معرض التخزين والطاقة الشمسية التابع ل IEG – مجموعة المعارض الإيطالية  – SSEC، وهو الحدث الجديد بين الشركات المكرس بالكامل للطاقة الشمسية وأنظمة تخزين الطاقة، أمام المجتمع الدولي للطاقة.

Rimini, February 27, 2026 – The energy transition requires places where ideas can be translated into concrete applications and new skills that can transform theory into industrial practice.

With its Innovation District, KEY – The Energy Transition Expo becomes the epicentre of sustainable innovation, consolidating its role as a growth accelerator and development platform for young Italian and international enterprises operating in the energy sector.

The new layout of the IEG (Italian Exhibition Group) event, scheduled to take place from 4th to 6th March at Rimini Expo Centre, confirms that an entire hall, D4, will host innovation. Within this space, the Green Jobs&Skills initiative will foster the encounter between supply and demand for jobs that involve new sustainable skills.

Another feature will be the BEX - Beyond Exploration stand to promote the new expo-conference on space economy and commercial space flight, organised by IEG in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna Region and scheduled to take place from 23rd to 25th September at Rimini Expo Centre.

AN OPEN INNOVATION ROUTE

The Innovation District was conceived as an authentic open innovation route to connect start-ups with consolidated companies and potential investors, thus encouraging product and service innovation and the establishment of new sustainable businesses. The area aims to promote companies that invest in research and development, giving visibility to their most advanced solutions and functioning as a catalyst for the technological evolution of sectors involved in the energy transition.

THE START-UP & SCALE-UP AREA

Within the Innovation District, the Start-up & Scale-up area will feature the most cutting-edge ideas and projects in KEY's seven product sectors: solar, wind, hydrogen, energy efficiency, energy storage, e-Mobility and Sustainable City.

Presenting these will be 32 innovative Italian and international Start-ups and SMEs selected from the 67 companies that responded to the Call for Start-ups organized by Italian Exhibition Group in collaboration with ITA - Italian Trade Agency, ART-ER (consortium company from Emilia-Romagna active in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship), Fondazione MAI (part of the Confindustria system), ANGI (National Association of Young Innovators) and Plug and Play Tech Center, the largest global open innovation and venture capital platform.

The seven most innovative young companies, one for each sector of the event, will be awarded a plaque of recognition.

The solutions on display will range from energy efficiency to electric mobility with a strong presence of Artificial Intelligence applied to energy management to monitor consumption in real time, detect anomalies and optimize resources, thus reducing waste and maximizing savings for large factories, companies, citizens and energy communities. Projects featured will include highly innovative heat pumps, gravitational storage systems that capture and conserve energy, advanced monitoring technologies that integrate satellite images, drone surveys and terrestrial sensors, innovations that automate technical project management and improve the performance of existing systems, such as self-cleaning treatments for photovoltaic panels, and integrated platforms to install and monetize for electric vehicle and e-bike charging points. These will be joined by models based on the collaborative economy that connect companies with citizens who want to invest in solar energy, and services to help users understand, conceptualize and create the business opportunities that sustainability and the energy transition enable. The research will bring solutions for developing reactors that make the most of catalysts, and recyclable thermoplastic materials for wind turbines to the show.

THE LORENZO CAGNONI INNOVATION AWARD

On Wednesday 4th March at 5.15 pm in the Innovation Arena, the seven KEY exhibitors who presented the most cutting-edge projects, one for each of the event’s product categories, will be awarded the Lorenzo Cagnoni Innovation Award with an official plaque in recognition of the excellence achieved. The initiative is designed to promote all those companies that have committed years to the development of increasingly innovative products and services in the field of energy transition.

GREEN JOBS&SKILLS: TRAINING TRANSITION PROFESSIONALS

Employment in the energy sector is a major source of global job growth. However, the supply of new, qualified workers is not keeping pace with market needs.

To help bridge this gap and encourage the encounter between job supply and demand in the energy and sustainability fields, KEY 2026’s Innovation District will include the Green Jobs&Skills initiative, in collaboration with Green Factor, which targets recent graduates and school-leavers from technical institutes, young professionals, workers who want to focus on sustainability, and companies looking for talent.

For those who wish to enter the green job market, the project is an opportunity for career orientation.

The event’s official website, accessible from desktops or via apps, includes a digital space specifically for “green jobs”. Here, exhibiting companies can promote a vertical event aimed at talent acquisition. Interested students, professionals and researchers can pre-register for the presentation and send their CV or cover letter directly via the platform.

The entire day of Friday 6th March will be dedicated to training and career orientation. Furthermore, in collaboration with ENEA and CNA, a Hackathon will be launched in which energy students at Technical Institutes from all over Italy will compete for three days.

بفضل منطقة الابتكار، يُصبح معرض KEY - معرض التحول الطاقي مركزًا للابتكار المستدام، مُعززًا دوره كمُسرّع نمو ومنصة تطوير للشركات الإيطالية والعالمية الناشئة العاملة في قطاع الطاقة.

يؤكد التصميم الجديد لفعالية مجموعة المعارض الإيطالية (IEG)، المقرر إقامتها في الفترة من 4 إلى 6 مارس في مركز ريميني إكسبو، تخصيص قاعة كاملة، D4، للابتكار. وفي هذه القاعة، ستعمل مبادرة "الوظائف والمهارات الخضراء" على تعزيز التفاعل بين العرض والطلب على الوظائف التي تتطلب مهارات مستدامة جديدة.

كما سيضم المعرض جناح "BEX - ما وراء الاستكشاف" للترويج للمعرض والمؤتمر الجديد حول اقتصاد الفضاء ورحلات الفضاء التجارية، الذي تنظمه مجموعة المعارض الإيطالية (IEG) بالتعاون مع منطقة إميليا رومانيا، والمقرر عقده في الفترة من 23 إلى 25 سبتمبر في مركز ريميني إكسبو.

مسار ابتكار مفتوح

تم تصميم منطقة الابتكار لتكون مسارًا حقيقيًا للابتكار المفتوح، يربط الشركات الناشئة بالشركات الراسخة والمستثمرين المحتملين، مما يشجع على ابتكار المنتجات والخدمات، وتأسيس شركات مستدامة جديدة. تهدف المنطقة إلى دعم الشركات التي تستثمر في البحث والتطوير، وإبراز أحدث حلولها، والعمل كمحفز للتطور التكنولوجي للقطاعات المعنية بانتقال الطاقة.

منطقة الشركات الناشئة والمتوسعة

ضمن منطقة الابتكار، ستعرض منطقة الشركات الناشئة والمتوسعة أحدث الأفكار والمشاريع في قطاعات منتجات KEY السبعة: الطاقة الشمسية، وطاقة الرياح، والهيدروجين، وكفاءة الطاقة، وتخزين الطاقة، والتنقل الكهربائي، والمدن المستدامة.

ستعرض هذه المشاريع 32 شركة ناشئة وصغيرة ومتوسطة مبتكرة، إيطالية وعالمية، تم اختيارها من بين 67 شركة استجابت لدعوة الشركات الناشئة التي نظمتها مجموعة المعارض الإيطالية بالتعاون مع وكالة التجارة الإيطالية (ITA)، وشركة ART-ER (شركة كونسورتيوم من إميليا-رومانيا بدعم الابتكار وريادة الأعمال)، ومؤسسة MAI (جزء من منظومة Confindustria)، وANGI (الرابطة الوطنية للمبتكرين الشباب)، ومركز Plug and Play التقني، أكبر منصة عالمية للابتكار المفتوح ورأس المال الاستثماري.

ستحصل الشركات الشابة السبع الأكثر ابتكارًا، شركة واحدة عن كل قطاع من قطاعات الحدث، على لوحة تقدير. ستتنوع الحلول المعروضة بين كفاءة الطاقة والتنقل الكهربائي، مع حضور قوي للذكاء الاصطناعي المُطبق على إدارة الطاقة لمراقبة الاستهلاك في الوقت الفعلي، والكشف عن أي خلل، وتحسين استخدام الموارد، مما يقلل الهدر ويزيد الوفورات للمصانع الكبيرة والشركات والأفراد ومجتمعات الطاقة. وتشمل المشاريع المعروضة مضخات حرارية مبتكرة للغاية، وأنظمة تخزين الطاقة بالجاذبية التي تلتقط الطاقة وتحافظ عليها، وتقنيات مراقبة متقدمة تدمج صور الأقمار الصناعية، ومسح الطائرات بدون طيار، وأجهزة الاستشعار الأرضية، وابتكارات تُؤتمت إدارة المشاريع التقنية وتُحسّن أداء الأنظمة القائمة، مثل معالجات التنظيف الذاتي للألواح الكهروضوئية، ومنصات متكاملة لتركيب نقاط شحن المركبات الكهربائية والدراجات الكهربائية وتحقيق الربح منها. وسيُضاف إلى ذلك نماذج قائمة على الاقتصاد التشاركي تربط الشركات بالأفراد الراغبين في الاستثمار في الطاقة الشمسية، وخدمات لمساعدة المستخدمين على فهم وتصور وخلق فرص الأعمال التي تُتيحها الاستدامة والتحول في قطاع الطاقة.

كما سيُقدم البحث حلولاً لتطوير مفاعلات تستفيد إلى أقصى حد من المحفزات، ومواد بلاستيكية حرارية قابلة لإعادة التدوير لتوربينات الرياح. 

جائزة لورينزو كاجنوني للابتكار

يوم الأربعاء 4 مارس/آذار، الساعة 5:15 مساءً، في قاعة الابتكار، سيتم تكريم سبعة من أبرز العارضين الذين قدموا أحدث المشاريع، مشروع واحد لكل فئة من فئات منتجات المعرض، بجائزة لورينزو كاجنوني للابتكار، مع لوحة تذكارية رسمية تقديرًا لتميزهم. تهدف هذه المبادرة إلى دعم الشركات التي كرست سنوات من حياتها لتطوير منتجات وخدمات مبتكرة في مجال التحول الطاقي.

يُعدّ التوظيف في قطاع الطاقة مصدرًا رئيسيًا لنمو الوظائف عالميًا. ومع ذلك، فإنّ المعروض من العمالة الجديدة المؤهلة لا يواكب احتياجات السوق. للمساهمة في سد هذه الفجوة وتشجيع التفاعل بين العرض والطلب على الوظائف في قطاعي الطاقة والاستدامة، ستضم منطقة الابتكار في مؤتمر KEY 2026 مبادرة "الوظائف والمهارات الخضراء"، بالتعاون مع "غرين فاكتور"، والتي تستهدف الخريجين الجدد وطلاب المعاهد التقنية، والمهنيين الشباب، والعاملين الراغبين في التركيز على الاستدامة، والشركات الباحثة عن الكفاءات.

يمثل هذا المشروع فرصةً للتوجيه المهني لمن يرغبون في دخول سوق العمل الأخضر.

يتضمن الموقع الإلكتروني الرسمي للفعالية، والذي يمكن الوصول إليه عبر أجهزة الكمبيوتر أو التطبيقات، قسمًا رقميًا مخصصًا لـ"الوظائف الخضراء". ويمكن للشركات العارضة من خلاله الترويج لفعالية متخصصة تهدف إلى استقطاب المواهب. ويمكن للطلاب والمهنيين والباحثين المهتمين التسجيل المسبق للعرض التقديمي وإرسال سيرهم الذاتية أو خطابات تعريفية مباشرةً عبر المنصة.

سيُخصص يوم الجمعة 6 مارس بالكامل للتدريب والتوجيه المهني. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، بالتعاون مع وكالة الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة (ENEA) والمركز الوطني للطاقة المتجددة (CNA)، سيتم إطلاق هاكاثون يتنافس فيه طلاب الطاقة في المعاهد التقنية من جميع أنحاء إيطاليا لمدة ثلاثة أيام.
