استقبل د.محمد شاكر وزير الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة ممثلى تحالف الوقود الأخضر Fredric Belloy المدير التنفيذى للمشروعات الدولية بشركةEDF للطاقات المتجددة و م. عمرو الصواف رئيس شركة زيرو ويست لبحث فرص الإستثمار فى مجالات الطاقة وخاصة الطاقات المتجددة والهيدروجين الأخضر فى اطار جهود مصر فى تنظيم مؤتمر الأطراف لاتفاقية الامم المتحدة الاطارية لتغير المناخ COP27 المقرر انعقاده في مدينة شرم الشيخ في نوفمبر القادم.
أكد د. شاكر أن هذا اللقاء يعكس حرص الوزارة علي تعزيز سبل التعاون مع المؤسسات والمنظمات المختلفة خلال الفترة القادمة والاستفادة من الخبرات المتطورة في مجال الطاقات المتجددة لنشر إستخدامات الطاقات المتجددة وخفض إنبعاثات الكربون وزيادة نصيب مشاركة القطاع الخاص فى مثل تلك المشروعات .
وتم خلال اللقاء بحث سبل التعاون المشترك بين الجانبين في مجال الكهرباء والطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة والهيدروجين الاخضر والأمونيا الخضراء لتنفيذ مشروع تجريبى لانتاج الوقود الخضر لتموين السفن بمنطقة قناة السويس .
اشار د. شاكر إلى استراتيجية الدولة التى تهدف لزيادة مساهمة نسبة الطاقة المتجددة في مزيج الطاقة الكهربائية ، والإهتمام الذى يوليه قطاع الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة لتنويع مصادر إنتاج الطاقة الكهربائية والاستفادة من ثروات مصر الطبيعية وبخاصة مصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة، والتى تستهدف الوصول بنسبة مساهمة الطاقة المتجددة في مزيج الطاقة في مصر إلى 42٪ بحلول عام 2035.
اشار الوزير الي أنه هناك تعاون مع شركات عالمية للبدء فى المناقشات والدراسات لتنفيذ مشروعات تجريبية لانتاج الهيدروجين الاخضر في مصر كخطوة اولى نحو التوسع في هذا المجال وصولا الى امكانية التصدير ، مؤكداً على إستعداد القطاع للتعاون مع مختلف الأطراف فى هذا المجال .
اشار الوزير الي التعاون مع البنك الأوروبي لإعادة الإعمار والتنمية بشأن توجه مصر نحو إنتاج الهيدروجين الأخضر من خلال توقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع البنك لتقديم منحة لتمويل الأعمال الاستشارية لإعداد الاستراتيجية الوطنية للهيدروجين.
من جانبه أشاد ممثلى تحالف الوقود الأخضر بما يمتلكه قطاع الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة المصرى من خبرات كبیرة فى كافة المجالات، مؤكداً على رغبتهم فى زيادة حجم التعاون مع الجانب المصرى فى مختلف المجالات وبصفة خاصة للاستفادة من الهيدروجين الاخضر كمصدر للطاقة النظيفة والمساهمة فى تنظيم مصر لهذا الحدث الهام COP 27 المقرر عقده فى شرم الشيخ .
Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, had a meeting with representatives of the Green Fuel Alliance, Fredric Belloy, Executive Director of International Projects at EDF for Renewable Energy and Eng. Amr El-Sawaf, Chairman of Zero West Company, to discuss investment opportunities in the fields of energy, especially renewable energies and green hydrogen, as part of Egypt's efforts to organize the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh next November.
Dr. Shaker confirmed that this meeting reflects the ministry's keenness to enhance ways of cooperation with various institutions and organizations during the coming period and to benefit from advanced experiences in the field of renewable energies to spread the uses of renewable energies, reduce carbon emissions and increase the share of the private sector's participation in such projects.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of electricity, new and renewable energy, green hydrogen and green ammonia, to implement a pilot project for the production of green fuels to supply ships in the Suez Canal region.
Dr. Shaker pointed out , the state’s strategy, which aims to increase the contribution of renewable energy in the electrical energy mix, and the attention given by the electricity and renewable energy sector to diversifying sources of electrical energy production and benefiting from Egypt’s natural wealth, especially new and renewable energy sources, which aims to reach the percentage of renewable energy’s contribution to the energy mix in Egypt to 42 percent by 2035.
The minister indicated that there is cooperation with international companies to start discussions and studies to implement pilot projects for the production of green hydrogen in Egypt as a first step towards expanding in this field to the possibility of exporting, stressing the sector's readiness to cooperate with various parties in this field.
The minister referred to the cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development EBRD, regarding Egypt's trend towards producing green hydrogen by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Bank to provide a grant to finance advisory work for preparing the national hydrogen strategy.
For his part, representatives of the Green Fuel Alliance praised the great expertise of the Egyptian electricity and renewable energy sector in all fields, stressing their desire to increase the volume of cooperation with the Egyptian side in various fields, in particular to benefit from green hydrogen as a source of clean energy and to contribute to Egypt’s organization of this important event , COP 27 to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh.
