أول محطة رفع طاقة شمسية في العالم والتي إفتتحت عام ١٩١٣ واستمر تشغيلها لفترة أقل من عام، اختفت في دروب التاريخ. والآن تغطي المبانى والرمال موقع المحطة في حي المعادي جنوبي القاهرة.
إذا كنت قد سمعت قط بهذا المشروع ذي الرؤية السابقة لعصرها،  رجاء تدوين تعليقك هنا على هذا الموقع اوكتابة حكايات سمعتها من أجدادك حول كيف وظفوا الشمس للعمل

The world’s first industrial-size solar power plant, completed 1913 and in operation for less than a year, has disappeared from history. At present, sand and houses cover the former location in Maadi, south of Cairo.

European Sustainable Energy Week

This conference takes place during the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) in the Committee of the Regions, in Brussels

The Keep on track! Project 

This Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) co-funded project, coordinated by the European Renewable Energy Council, brings together a range of different actors in the renewable energy sector. The aim is to provide a close-to-market monitoring of the fulfillment of the 2020 renewable energy targets in the EU-27, as well as suggest solutions in case of delay. The first publications will be launched at the EUSEW event

دور القطاع الخاص في نشر تطبيقات الطاقة المتجددة ... تجربة ذاتية

ينظم بيت السناري الأثري بحي السيدة زينب بالقاهرة، التابع لمكتبة الإسكندرية؛ بالتعاون مع الشبكة المصرية للطاقات المتجددة، يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 4 يونيو في تمام الساعة السادسة مساءً إلى الساعة الثامنة مساءً.
يتحدث في اللقاء المحاسب وائل النشار أحد رواد الأعمال بتنفيذ تطبيقات الطاقة المتجددة بالسوق المحلي.
سيتناول اللقاء الإجابة عن أسئلة تتعلق بالسوق وآفاقه الآن؟ دعم الطاقة التقليدية ... المشكلة والحل؟، وكيف يتحرك القطاع الخاص في ضوء السياسات الحكومية واللوائح الإدارية المنظمة للنشاط؟ نقل التكنولوجيا بين مهمة القطاع الخاص ومسئولية الحكومة؟ وكيف يتحقق توسيع السوق لخفض سعر بيع الخدمة والمنتج من الطاقات المتجددة؟ وأخيرًا نظرة مستقبلية إلى مصر 2020 – 2027، طاقة الرياح 7200 ميجاواط والشمسية 3500 ميجاواط ما الذي سيكون قد تحقق؟ كيف؟ ولماذا؟.

الجدير بالذكر أن الملتقى بالتعاون مع الشبكة المصرية للطاقات المتجددة، ومؤسسها الصحفي محمد السيد درويش المتخصص في شئون وقضايا الطاقة المتجددة، حيث يسعى الملتقى لكسب إلتزام صناع القرار والمجتمع المدني بتبني تطبيقات وسياسات واستراتيجيات تنمية ثقافة وصناعة وتجارة الطاقة البديلة والتعريف بالجوانب السياسية الإقتصادية لمشاريع الطاقات النظيفة، والمشاركة في وضع إطار للعمل الوطني للتنمية المستدامة وركيزته دعم تحول الطاقة نحو الطاقات الجديدة والمتجددة.
يذكر أن بيت السناري "بيت العلوم والثقافة والفنون" الأثري بحي السيدة زينب في القاهرة، التابع لمكتبة الإسكندرية، مفتوح للزيارة المجانية خلال مواعيد العمل الرسمية، كما يتضمن أنشطة مثل سيمنار الجبرتي للدراسات التاريخية، وسيمنار الوثائق؛ والذين ينظمهما شباب المؤرخين وشباب الباحثين في مجال الوثائق. ويستضيف بيت السناري أيضًا أنشطة متنوعة للشباب؛ مثل صالون الشباب الأدبي، إضافة إلى إقامة عدد من المعارض الثقافية والفنية والحفلات الموسيقية والغنائية ودورات تدريبية في عدد من المجالات؛ منها الخط العربي واللغة المصرية القديمة واللغة القبطية. كما يعقد به أيضًا حلقات نقاشية علمية حول مستقبل العلوم والمعرفة على عدة مستويات، وذلك من تشجيع للشباب المصري والمواهب المتميزة، واستكمالاً للدور الذي أخذته مكتبة الإسكندرية على عاتقها من إحياء للدور القديم لبيت السناري؛ والذي يعد المقر الأول للمجمع العلمي المصري، ليصبح منبراً للعلوم والثقافة والفنون.

4th EEEC - Egypt Energy and Economy Conference 2013

German Academy for Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology has been invited to take part to the 4th EEEC - Egypt Energy and Economy Conference 2013.
