يدور اللقاء حول اكتشاف مواهب شابة من مصر وتونس لديها ملكات فكرية في تطبيقات الطاقة المتجددة من طاقة شمسية ورياح، وذلك لتشجيع الشباب على اكتشاف مواهبهم الابتكارية والابداعية في صنع نماذج بدائية ومصغرة من أدوات تعمل بالطاقات المتجددة

وتأتي الندوة يوم الأربعاء الموافق 16 أبريل 2014م في تمام الساعة السادسة مساءً إلى الساعة الثامنة مساءً، وهي مفتوحة للجمهور.

والجدير بالذكر أن الملتقى بالتعاون مع الشبكة المصرية للطاقات المتجددة والمياه، ومؤسسها الصحفي محمد السيد درويش المتخصص في شئون وقضايا الطاقة المتجددة والمياه، حيث يسعى الملتقى لكسب التزام صناع القرار والمجتمع المدني بتبني تطبيقات وسياسات واستراتيجيات تنمية ثقافة وصناعة وتجارة الطاقة البديلة والتعريف بالجوانب السياسية الاقتصادية لمشاريع الطاقات النظيفة، والمشاركة في وضع إطار للعمل الوطني للتنمية المستدامة وركيزته دعم تحول الطاقة نحو الطاقات الجديدة والمتجددة والمياه.

The Cairo Climate Talks is pleased to invite you to participate in the upcoming panel discussion on transportation and urban planning entitled 

“Cairo in Motion: Smart Transport and Urban Development” 

It will take place on April 16 from 7:00pm at the German Science Center(DWZ), 11, Al-Saleh Ayoub street in Zamalek

The discussion will focus on the obstacles and potential solutions to fostering smart, efficient urban development and transport systems, which can have massive environmental implications on the city of Cairo.

Since it is one of the most polluted and congested cities in the world, Cairo increasingly resembles an oversized car park, rather than a functioning metropolis. In a city designed to carry half of its current population, urban planning has become a critical concern for a variety of reasons, ranging from air pollution to a strained economy resulting from an inability to fluidly navigate the city. Egypt’s 4.2 million vehicles contribute a major share of the country’s emissions, and every year 200,000 new cars hit the streets.

Informal transport and development solutions have long kept Cairo’s streets and people moving, filling gaps in formal networks. Historically, urban planning has often taken a backseat to pressure from developers as the city expands outward and upward to accommodate a burgeoning population. From microbuses to satellite cities, the 22^nd Cairo Climate Talks “Cairo in Motion: Smart Transport and Urban Development” will address a wide range of development successes and challenges on both a micro and macro level. 

Several alternative transportation initiatives will also showcase their creative traffic solutions.

Live demonstrations and special events Highlights in the events program at IFAT Alongside the extensive program on offer in the Forums at IFAT in Munich between May 5 and 9, there are many live demonstrations and special events. Here is just a small sample of what to expect: Think Green – Think Future / Research, education, continuous developmentThis year, for the first time at IFAT, a job center is being set up. In Hall B0 exhibitors will be able to present their companies to applicants of all levels of experience, and conduct talks with these prospective new employees. The motto for Hall B0 is "Think Green – Think Future". The focus will be on research, education and continuous development. A Research & Education Area is being set up here, at which again 20 universities and other higher-education institutions will be presenting insights into their educational and research activities. The Job Center is being organized by Messe München International in close cooperation with the DWA (German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste). Careers Competition (DWA)The DWA, supported by Dräger, is holding the 2nd Open German Championship in Wastewater Engineering. Apprentices and experienced professionals in sewers and wastewater treatment will be put through their paces in this skills contest. Among the tasks to be tackled are safe working in sewers and in a traffic area, monitoring of treatment plants, pump maintenance and repair and control engineering. The Careers Competition takes place in the Atrium between Halls A1 and B1.  Practical Days (VDMA)On the open-air site (P3, to the west of the North Entrance) the VDMA Association for Waste Treatment and Recycling Technology is putting on a demonstration of how to crush and sort organic waste. Machinery and equipment from various manufacturers will be seen in action processing whole tree trunks, old timber and live prunings. Trucks in Action (VAK)On a special display area on the open-air site (Block F5, east of the North Entrance), the VAK, Municipal Vehicles and Equipment Industry Association, is putting on an exciting live display of modern, functional vehicle solutions. In action will be refuse collection vehicles, roll-off tippers and skiploaders, containers and loading cranes, liquid-waste/pipe-cleaning systems, sweeping vehicles and equipment, snow-clearing and gritting vehicles and equipment, municipal vehicles and superstructures. IESP WorkshopTaking place on 6 May, in the ICM – Internationales Congress Center München, is a one-day IESP Workshop entitled "Intelligent Peri-Urbanization through Decentralization – Towards an Overarching Approach to Sustainable Water Management". The event is being organized by the International Expert Group on Earth System Preservation (IESP) in close cooperation with the Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Protection (StMUV), the Institute for Advanced Study, Technical University of Munich (TUM-IAS), the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) and Messe München International. The workshop is being supported by the German Water Partnership (GWP). Meeting Point PumpsPumpe DE, a long-standing participant in IFAT, is organizing the Meeting Point PUMPS for the third time at the show. Press release:Gemasolar wins  Four nominated power plants advance the global energy transition Hamburg, April 9th, 2014 – DESERTEC awards the Spanish power plant Gemasolar of the operating company Torresol Energy with the DESERTEC Award 2014. The decisive criterion for granting the award was the technical innovation in the field of thermal heat storage for a reliable energy supply. The solar thermal power plant is the first of its kind to use molten salt for both heat transfer and heat storage. When operating at maximum capacity, Gemasolar, which has a total storage capacity of 15 hours, can produce electricity at night, as well as in cloudy weather conditions. It complements other alternative energy sources, such as wind and photovoltaic, because it can compensate fluctuations in their energy supply. Consequently, these variable sources can reach their fullest potential without the use of fossil fuels. DESERTEC nominated four future-oriented power plants, which prove that innovative solar technology can provide energy day and night. Besides Gemasolar, the power plants Andasol, Puerto Errado 2 and SHAMS 1 were nominated for the award. With the DESERTEC Award, DESERTEC recognises outstanding accomplishments for advancing the global energy transition. “In the last years, more and more power plants were built to utilise renewable energy sources available in deserts and arid regions. المغرب ينفق في أربع سنوات 24 بليون دولار لدعم المحروقات

توقع «المجلس الأعلى للحسابات» في المغرب أن يتضاعف الطلب المحلي على النفط وموارد الطاقة بنحو ثلاثة أضعاف خلال السنوات الـ15 المقبلة، نتيجة الزيادة السكانية والتوسع الاقتصادي والصناعي والعمراني، ما سيزيد أعباء تحمل كلفة دعم أسعار المحروقات التي بلغت العام الماضي نحو 39 بليون درهم (4.4 بليون دولار)، اي 83 في المئة من مجموع نفقات «صندوق المقاصة». وأشار إلى أن المغرب أنفق 195 بليون درهم على دعم أسعار المحروقات بين عامي 2009 - 2013، الفترة التي صادفت الأزمة الاقتصادية العالمية والربيع العربي.

وأفاد المجلس في تقرير عرضه أمام البرلمان بأن دعم أسعار المواد النفطية زاد من 1,5 بليون درهم عام 2001 الى نحو 36 بليوناً هذه السنة، على رغم قيام الحكومات المتعاقبة بزيادة أسعار المحروقات تحت ضغط ارتفاع أسعار النفط في السوق الدولية.

وتسبب دعم الأسعار وارتفاع نفقات «صندوق المقاصة» في تنامي عجز الموازنة الذي يُتوقع أن يتراجع الى 4,9 في المئة نهاية هذه السنة، بعد أن كان 7,3 في المئة عام 2012 في فترة الحراك الاجتماعي.

وبلغت كلفة نفقات المقاصة العام الماضي نحو 5 في المئة من الناتج الإجمالي، وهي مسؤولة بنسبة 95 في المئة عن عجز الموازنة، وتكاد توازي نصف نفقات أجور العمال في القطاع العام.

واعتبر التقرير أن الأسر الميسورة تستفيد أكثر من الفئات الفقيرة من مخصصات دعم الأسعار، بسبب ارتفاع نفقاتها الاستهلاكية وتملكها لأكثر من سيارة، بحيث إن زيادة الإنفاق تؤدي إلى دعم الأسعار.

ويستحوذ الغاز على نحو 49 في المئة من مجموع دعم المحروقات يليه البيوتان بنسبة 20 في المئة، ولم يعد البنزين الممتاز يحظى بأي دعم من الحكومة التي قررت كذلك رفع الدعم تدريجاً عن بقية مواد الطاقة مع الإبقاء على الغاز المنزلي لأسباب اجتماعية.

وأظهر التقرير أن قطاعي النقل العام، والزراعة والصيد البحري يستحوذان على معظم مخصصات الدعم وفق توزيع الاستهلاك الاقتصادي بنسبة 59 و39 في المئة على التوالي، وهما مجالان يصعب على الحكومة رفع الدعم عنهما لدواعٍ اقتصادية واجتماعية، وتحتاج الى مفاوضات مع الأطراف المستفيدة، وبدائل عن الضرر الذي قد يلحق بتلك القطاعات.

وسيعاني المغرب تحديات ارتفاع كلفة إنتاج الكهرباء بانتظار بدء العمل بمنشآت طاقة الشمس والرياح، التي يجري بناؤها في بعض المناطق بكلفة إجمالية تصل إلى 180 بليون درهم.

وأكد رئيس «المجلس الأعلى للحسابات»، إدريس جطو، أن التأخر في بناء محطات جديدة لإنتاج الطاقة الكهربائية في مناطق أسفي والجرف الأصفر، كلف الاقتصاد المغربي خسائر قدرت بـ46 بليون درهم بسبب تعثر سير المشروع. ودعا إلى اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لتنفيذ البرنامج الاستثماري لـ «المكتب الوطني للكهرباء» الممتد حتى عام 2017، وتوفير الدعم الضروري من الحكومة لتلافي الأخطار التي قد يسببها تأخير الإنجاز.

وتقدر كلفة دعم أسعار الفيول لإنتاج الكهرباء بـ 56 بليون درهم حتى عام 2022. واقترح المجلس الإسراع في بناء ميناء للغاز الطبيعي في الجرف الأصفر وتوفير بنية تحتية حديثة للطاقة، من شأنها رفع جاذبية الاقتصاد المغربي وتنافسية شركاته.

ووفق الدراسة التي عرضها المجلس، فإن كلفة الميناء تقدر بنحو 18 بليون درهم تشمل الأرصفة ومنشآت التخزين وأنبوب الغاز والمرافق المؤهلة لاستقبال البواخر الضخمة، ويمكن الميناء أن يشيد بشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص وحتى التمويل والتعاون الخارجي.

At this event, on the evening before the start of IFAT (May 5–9, 2014), the winners of the GreenTec Awards will be announced and presented with their prizes. Over 200 projects were entered for the award, which is Europe´s biggest environmental and business accolade, and the jury has now selected its favorites. The results of public online voting are also now available – this year roughly 100,000 votes were submitted from around the world. Organizer and host delighted with the responseMarco Voigt, the initiator of the GreenTec Awards, is pleased that "together with our partners we have been able to mobilize so many people around the world – we have received votes from across Europe, and also from Russia and China." Eugen Egetenmeir, Managing Director of Messe München, the host of this year´s Gala Night, is delighted: "This high level of international interest shows that around the globe innovative environmental technologies are becoming ever more important. The projects submitted are also evidence of the dynamic, solutions-oriented approach this sector is taking towards problems." Nominees from across the sectorThe spectrum of this year´s hopefuls is very broad: Among the nominees are names like Continental Reifen, Danfoss and Lichtblick in cooperation with Borussia Dortmund, international start-ups such as akvolution, Tado and Pectcof, research institutions, e.g. Fraunhofer IMS and the Technical University of Dresden, as well as young inventors with projects focusing on bee-keeping on balconies, organic drinking straws and veggie hotels. Jury session in FebruaryThe jury met in a closed session on February 25, 2014, in the Hotel Regent Berlin to decide on this year´s winners. The 60-strong jury (http://www.greentec-awards.com/en/competition/jury.html) includes representatives from well-known association and societies, as well as entrepreneurs, VIPs and presenters. This year, for the first time, the entire selection process for the GreenTec Awards is being certified by the technical inspection authorities, TÜV Nord. Commenting on his début on the panel of judges, Dr. Markus Beukenberg, Chief Technical Officer of Wilo SE, said: "What made a very positive impression on me were the lively, sometimes controversial discussions we had. My colleagues probed deeply in their search for agreement, they certainly did not take the job lightly, quite the opposite in fact. We really did  struggle to reach a decision."
