A trade fair and congress taking place on April 23-26 in
Germany´s capital city. Wasser Berlin is the international trade fair for
water, wastewater, and pipeline construction, covering the whole circle of the
water economy. A special focus at the WASSER BERLIN INTERNATIONAL
2013 will be placed on countries from the Arab World.
His Excellency Dr. Abdelkawi Khalifa, Egypt's Minister of State
for Public Utilities, will preside at the WASSER BERLIN INTERNATIONAL opening
ceremony April 23. He will be accompanied by Dirk Niebel, German Federal
Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Together
with ACWUA (Arab Countries Water Utilities Association) as a partner,
the fair takes a closer look at the Arab countries, a focus which is also
reflected by the programme of the International Forum (please find attached the
programme). The International Forum in Hall 3.2/Stand 312 will feature a
series of events thematically related to the Arab countries, such as
April 23, 2013
- Market focus of water management in the Arab region – Water market Morocco (13:00-15:00h)
- Learning from the past – The Levant and MENA region (15:30-17:30)
April 24, 2013
- Water management in Egypt – Access to the market (13:00-15.00h)
- Market focus of water management in the Arab region – Water market Saudi Arabia (15:30-17:30h)
For trade show visitors the participation and the
International Forum is free of charge.
Another Highlight will be the Arab Forum. On 25 April
2013, from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. in New York Room 2 in Hall 7.1, the congress will
be taking a close look at the region’s water industry and hosting a discussion
on the latest related topics. Organised by the German Water Partnership (GWP),
the forum will in particular discuss German-Arab joint ventures and the
opportunities for investing in the local water industry. The program of events

additional ticket is needed.
