تشارك الشبكة المصرية للبيئة والمناخ في المنتدي الدولي الثاني للصحافة الذي تتواصل فعالياته حاليا فى تونس والذي يناقش المنتدي حالة الصحافة ووسائل الإعلام فى المنطقة العربية، بمشاركة 700 صحفي وإعلامي من 30 دولة ممثلة. المنتدي فرصة فريدة لمقارنة تجارب وتوقعات المهنيين من الشاطئ الجنوبي للبحر الأبيض المتوسط والقارة الأفريقية مع التركيز هذا العام بشكل خاص على حالة الصحافة في عدة دول.
قال أحمد سبع الليل رئيس لجنة الشباب ومسئول الصحافة العربية بالشبكة المصرية للبيئة ومؤسس مبادرة المناخ بالعربي: كوننا متخصصين في صحافة البيئة والمناخ بالمنطقة العربية كانت لنا عدة لقاءات حول عدد من موضوعات صحافة البيئة والمناخ، مثل المخلفات والبلاستيك وإعادة التدوير للمخلفات، من خلال مناقشة الخبراء الدوليين والباحثين فى مجال العلوم والبيئة.
كما طرحنا كاعلاميين ومجتمع مدني أفكارنا الشبابية ومشاريعنا الإعلامية التي نعمل عليها لتغطية قمة المناخ بمدينة شرم الشيخ cop27 والتي ستعقد في مصر خلال نوفمبر 2022 .
في إطار دعوتنا للزملاء الصحافيين لحضور قمة المناخ والمشاركة الأفريقية المتوقعة، رحب الكثير منهم بأهمية الحدث المناخي فى مصر، أكدوا على حضورهم وأنهم جاهزون من الآن لتسويق الحدث ومتحمسون للمشاركة وزيارة مصر.
Egyptian Network for Environment and Climate is participating in the Second International Press Forum, which is currently ongoing in Tunisia
The forum discusses the state of the press and media in the Arab region, with the participation of 700 journalists and media professionals from 30 countries were represented
The forum is a unique opportunity to compare the experiences and expectations of professionals from the southern shore of the Mediterranean & African continent, with a special focus this year on the state of journalism in several countries
Ahmed Sab’ Al-Lail, head of the Youth Committee and the official of the Arab press in the Egyptian Environment Network and founder of the Climate Initiative in Arabic language , said, “Being specialized in environmental and climate journalism in the Arab region, we had several meetings on a number of environmental and climate journalism topics, such as waste, plastic and waste recycling, by discussing international experts.” and researchers in the field of science and the environment
We, as media professionals and civil society, also presented our youthful ideas and media projects that we are working on to cover the Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Cop27, which will be held in Egypt during November 2022
As part of our invitation to the press colleagues to attend the Climate Summit and the expected African participation, many of them welcomed the importance of the climate event in Egypt, and confirmed their attendance and that they are ready from now to marketing the event and are excited to participate and visit Egypt
