اجابة السؤال: ربما إدارة شركة Walt Disney صاحبة أشهر فأر في العالم، لا
تعلم أن اعتراضها على زيادة الضرائب في خطط الرئيس Joe Biden الاجتماعية، خطط الـ 3.5
تريليون دولار، على 10 سنوات، ستؤدي لضياع فرصة نادرة لمواجهة الكوارث
المناخية في الولايات المتحدة، مثل الاعاصير وحرائق الغابات والجفاف وموجات الحر
الشديدة لمدة 10 سنوات على الأقل.
هذه الـ 10 سنوات تعتبر حاسمة لانقاذ البشرية المهددة بنتائج
تغير المناخ والاحتباس الحراري ولتقليل الضرر الواقع لا محاله على حياة واستقرار
ومعيشة مئات الملايين من البشر حول العالم، وفي الولايات المتحدة نفسها.
شركة Walt Disney ليست وحدها مع
شركة ExxonMobil وشركة Pfizer
، يسعون جميعهم لنفس الهدف، منع اقرار وتمرير خطط الادارة
الديمقراطية لزيادة الضرائب على أرباح الشركات العملاقة. خطة ضرورية للانفاق على
شبكة الرعاية الاجتماعية لعشرات الملايين من الأمريكيين وتحقيق أقرب ما يمكن لمفهوم
مجتمع الرفاه، في سياسة تحظى بشعبية اجتماعية أمريكية واسعة وملحوظة.
بالقطع رفع الضرائب وتوفير
الأموال اللازمة لتنفيذ سياسات مواجهة الكوارث المناخية الحالية لن تكون كافية
وحدها لكن ستكون بداية ضرورية ولا غنى عنها. إذ أن أي سياسة ناجحة للتعامل بجدية
مع نتائج ظواهر تغير المناخ يجب أن تتضمن حوافز وغرامات لتشجيع الشركات الملوثة
على التوقف عن تلويث المناخ، والشركات المستهلكة والمنتجة للطاقة النظيفة من مصادر
الرياح 11th centuryوالشمس 1950s، على زيادة حضورها ودورها، وصولاً لتحول كامل للطاقة
من الأحفورية إلى المتجددة.

قوية لمواجهة ظواهر تغير المناخ. إذ أن سياسة الحزب الجمهوري تقوم على إنكار ظاهرة
تغير المناخ، وإذا لم تجد هذه الحجة قبولاً، يشدد على أن الأنشطة البشرية الصناعية
ليست مسئولة عن الظاهرة، وأخيراً يجادل بأن أي اجراء أو سياسة لمواجهة ظاهرة تغير
المناخ ستؤدي لتدمير الاقتصاد وإعاقة نموه وخسارة وظائف.
الحزب الجمهوري G.O.P استحوذ في انتخابات 2020 على 84 percentمن التبرعات المالية
التي قدمتها صناعة النفط والغاز للمرشحين السياسيين، في حين بلغت نسبته 96 percent من التبرعات المالية لأصحاب المصالح في صناعة الفحم.
الاعتراض على خطة الادارة الديمقراطية لا
تأتي فقط من الشركات العملاقة، بل تأتي أيضاً من بعض النواب الديمقراط المرتبطين
بعلاقات وثيقة وتبرعات مالية للشركات الملوثة، شركات يجب اعلان أسماءها لينبذها
الرأي العام، خصوصاً في وقت تقوم فيه معظم الشركات بإظهار التزامها بالمسئولية
الاجتماعية تجاه المواطنين في مجتمعها والعالم عموماً، على رأس هؤلاء Joe Manchin السيناتور الديمقراطي عن ولاية West
Virginia ، الولاية رقم 2 في انتاج الفحم ورقم 7 في انتاج النفط في الولايات المتحدة، السيناتور مرتبط
بصناعة الفحم من خلال شركة وساطة في مناجم الفحم يديرها ابنه، أسسها هو عام 1988، حصل من ورائها
على 491.949 دولار عوائد
أسهم العام الماضي، حسب اقرار ذمته المالية المقدم لمجلس الشيوخ، السيناتور Joe Manchin رئيس لجنة الطاقة والموارد الطبيعية بمجلس الشيوخ، أكثر
سيناتور في مجلس الشيوخ حصل على تبرعات من أرباب صناعات النفط والغاز والفحم بحسب data compiled by OpenSecrets، Manchin المسئول عن صياغة حزمة الانقاذ
المناخية لادارة Biden، سيقوم هو بصياغة تفاصيل برنامج إدارة الكهرباء النظيفة البالغ
ميزانيته وحده 150 مليار دولار من اجمالي خطة
الـ 3.5 تريليون دولار، على مدار الـ 10 سنوات القادمة، إذا تم تمريرها في مجلس الشيوخ.
بحسب تقرير I.P.C.C الذي نشر في أغسطس الماضي، التقرير السادس، major new United Nations scientific report المعتمد على أكثر من 14
ألف دراسة حول ظواهر تغير المناخ دولياً، أطلق صيحة مدوية بأن لا وقت ممكن اضاعته
لمواجهة ظاهرة تغير المناخ.
هذا التقرير الهام والخطير يجعل من اعتراضات النواب الديمقراط والشركات
العملاقة المعترضة على رفع الضرائب، خطر كبير على البشرية نفسها يجب التعامل معه
بقوة وسرعة لسبب بسيط لا يوجد وقت أخر مستقطع أو إضافي للتعامل مع أزمة المناخ
لاحقاً، أزمة مصيرية تهدد الحياة البشرية نفسها على كوكبنا الأزرق ملجأنا الوحيد.
