كشف د. شريف الجبلى، رئيس لجنة تسيير مكتب الإلتزام البيئى والتنمية المستدامة باتحاد الصناعات المصرية، عن قرب أعلان نتائج التقارير الخاصة بتطوير نظم قياس المؤشرات القياسية لاستهلاك الطاقة في إطار التعاون الوثيق بين مكتب الالتزام البيئى باتحاد الصناعات المصرية ومشروع تحسين كفاءة الطاقة فى الصناعة القائم بتنفيذه جهاز شئون البيئة ممثلاً للحكومة المصرية وتحت إدارة منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية (اليونيدو)، وبتمويل من مرفق البيئة العالمي بهدف إحداث نتائج إيجابية ملموسة في كيفية إدارة الطاقة في الصناعات المصرية وخاصة الصناعات كثيفة الإستهلاك للطاقة.

بالتعاون مع هيئة التنمية الصناعية، الهيئة المصرية العامة للمواصفات والجودة، ومركز تحديث الصناعة بالتعاون الوثيق مع مكتب الإلتزام البيئى والتنمية المستدامة ممثلاً عن اتحاد الصناعات المصرية.

من جانبه أشارت د. جيهان بيومى، المدير الوطنى لمشروع تحسين كفاءة الطاقة فى الصناعة، ان نتائج التقارير الخاصة بتطوير نظم قياس المؤشرات القياسية لاستهلاك الطاقة تتضمن بيانات إحصائية دقيقة وشاملة في مجال استهلاكات الطاقة.

ركزت النتائج على أربعة قطاعات صناعية رئيسية تتصف بكثافة استخدامها للطاقة ، قطاعات الحديد والصلب والأسمدة والأسمنت والسيراميك.

الهدف من إعداد التقارير تقييم كفاءة استخدام الطاقة في هذه القطاعات من خلال مقارنة كفاءة استهلاك الطاقة بين المنشآت الصناعية ومثيلتها في مصر ومقارنتهم أيضا بأفضل الاستخدامات و الممارسات العالمية.

من ناحية أخرى صرحت د. فتحية سليمان، استشارى المشروع وأستاذ بكلية الهندسة بجامعة القاهرة، ان النتائج التي توصلت إليها التقارير توضح أن هناك فرص لترشيد استهلاكات الطاقة للقطاعات الأربعة بشكل عام. وسوف تكون النتائج في غاية الأهمية لمتخذي القرار عند تبني سياسات جديدة تخص الطاقة في القطاعات الصناعية الأربعة و بمثابة مرجع لكل مصنع للتقييم الذاتي يتسنى له من خلالها تحديد كم الوفر الممكن تحقيقه وتقييم وضعه من حيث القدرة على  المنافسة في السوق المحلي والعالمي.

من جانبه أشار م. أحمد كمال، المدير التنفيذى لمكتب الإلتزام البيئى والتنمية المستدامة، ان المكتب يقوم بتقديم المساعدات الفنية والتمويلية للمنشآت الصناعية عن طريق قروضا ميسرة لتمويل معدات صناعية جديدة لتطبيق تكنولوجيات التوافق البيئي وترشيد الطاقة وتطبيقات الطاقة المتجددة داخل المنشآت الصناعية، بقيمة استثمارية تصل إلى7 مليون جنيه مصرى يسدد على أقساط سنوية من سنة حتى خمس سنوات متضمنة سنة واحدة سماح ومصاريف إدارية 3,5% عن طريق البنك الأهلى أوالبنوك المشاركة.

Dr. Shreif El Gabaly Chairman of the Steering Committee of Environmental Compliance and Sustainable Development Office affiliated to Federation of Egyptian Industries, referred to imminent declaration of results of measuring standard indicators of energy consumption in close cooperation between the Environmental Compliance and Sustainable Development Office

 and the project improve energy efficiency in industry, Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency representing the Egyptian government under the management of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and funded by the Global Environment Facility with a view to producing tangible positive results in how to manage energy in Egyptian industries

In cooperation with the Industrial Development Authority, the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality, plus the Industrial Modernization Center in close cooperation with the Environmental Compliance and Sustainable Development Office represented Federation of Egyptian Industries

For his part, Gihan Bayoumi, National Director of the Energy Efficiency Improvement Project in Industry, said that the reports results showing benchmark systems for energy consumption include accurate and comprehensive statistical data on energy consumption.

The results focused on four major energy-intensive industrial sectors, iron and steel, fertilizers, cement and ceramics

Objective of the reports is to assess the energy efficiency of these sectors by comparing the efficiency of energy consumption between Egypt industries and comparing them with the best practices internationally

On the other hand, Fathia Suleiman, a project consultant and professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, said the findings showed that there are opportunities to rationalize the energy consumption via four sectors in general. The results will be critical issue to decision with developers when adopting new energy policies in the four industrial sectors and serve as a reference for each self-assessment to determine how much can be achieved along with assessment their position in terms of competitiveness in the local and global energy efficiency market

For his part, Ahmed Kamal, Executive Director of Environmental Compliance and Sustainable Development Office said that the Office provides technical and financial assistance to industrial enterprises through soft loans to finance new industrial equipment for the application of technologies of environmental compatibility, energy conservation and applications of renewable energy within industrial facilities, with an investment value of LE 7 million. Annual installments of one to five years including one year grace and administrative expenses 3.5 percent through the National Bank or the participating banks
