ألمانيا ساهمت بأكثر من ٣٠٠ مليون يورو في تمويل قناطر أسيوط Germany has contributed more than 300 million euros in financing the Asyut Barrage

بعد ست سنوات من العمل المتواصل اكتمل إنشاء قناطر أسيوط الجديدة على نهر النيل بمساعدات ألمانيا ، بلغت مساهمة الحكومة  الألمانية في تمويل هذا المشروع ثلثي التكلفة ، أي ٣١١ مليون يورو من إجمالي ٤٧٤ مليون يورو ، هي القيمة الإجمالية لتكلفة إنشاء القناطر. والشطر الأكبر من المساهمة الألمانية عبارة عن قروض ميسرة قدمها البنك الألماني للتنمية KFW. تمثل قناطر أسيوط الجديدة ومحطة الكهرباء المائية التابعة لها مكونا هاما في نظام الري المصري وتساهم بصورة مباشرة في تنمية صعيد مصر. تم افتتاح المشروع امس

أشاد سفير ألمانيا بالقاهرة ، يوليوس جيورج لوي ، بنجاح إنجازالمشروع قائلا: 

تفخر ألمانيا بأن تكون شريكا هاما لمصر في هذا المشروع الناجح الذي يعد أضخم مشروع تنموي ألماني ينفذ في مصر بمساهمات تمويلية تزيد على ٣٠٠ مليون يورو. يضمن مشروع قناطر أسيوط توفير مياه الري لمساحة ٦٩٠٠٠٠ هكتار ، ومن ثم يستفيد منه خمسة ملايين مصريا يعملون بالزراعة

التعاون الألماني المصري في مشروع قناطر أسيوط يأتي بعد تعاون ألمانيا مع مصر في إنشاء قناطر نجع حمادي أيضا في جنوب البلاد والتي تم إنجازها في الفترة ما بين عامي ٢٠٠٢ إلى ٢٠٠٨ ، وفي ذلك دليل على التزام ألمانيا طويل المدى بالمساهمة في جهود التنمية في قطاع المياه نظرا لأهميته القصوى لمستقبل مصر.

استغرق إنشاء قناطر أسيوط الفترة من ٢٠١٢ إلى ٢٠١٨ ، وشارك في هذا المشروع وزارة الموارد المائية والري المصرية والشركة القابضة للكهرباء وقطاع التعاون التنموي الألماني من خلال البنك الألماني للتنمية KFW  وفر المشروع ٦٨٠٠ فرصة عمل خلال مرحلة الإنشاء. علاوة على أن المشروع سيحل محل قناطر أسيوط القديمة التي انشأت قبل أكثر من ١٠٠ عام ، ويوفر احتياجات المنطقة من مياه الري ، فإن محطة توليد الكهرباء المائية التابعة له سوف توفر ٣٢ ميجاوات من الكهرباء تغطي احتياجات حوالي  ١٣٠٠٠٠ أسرة من الطاقة الكهربائية النظيفة ، مما سيعمل على تخفيض من انبعاثات غاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون بنسبة لا تقل عن ١٤٧٠٠٠ الف طن سنويا. أما المزارعون الذين أضيروا من جراء إنشاء القناطر فقد تم تعويضهم من قبل السلطات المصرية.

After six years of continuous work, the construction of the new Asyut barges on the Nile was completed with the assistance of Germany. Contribution of the German government to the financing of this project amounted to two thirds of the cost, i.e. 311 million euros of the total 474 million euros.

Bulk of the German contribution is soft loans provided by the German Development Bank (KFW). The new Asyut basins and its hydroelectric power station are an important component of the Egyptian irrigation system and contribute directly to the development of Upper Egypt. The project opened

The German Ambassador in Cairo, Julius Georg Lowe, praised the successful completion of this project,

 Saying:

Germany is proud to be an important partner for Egypt in this successful project, which is the largest German development project to be implemented in Egypt with funding contributions of over 300 million Euros. The German-Egyptian cooperation in the Asyut Archaeological Project comes after Germany's cooperation with Egypt in the construction of the Naga Hammadi Barricade in the south of the country, which was completed between 2002 and 2008.

This is evidence of Germany's long-term commitment to contribute to development efforts in the water sector given its utmost importance to the future Egypt

The construction of the Asyut Barrage took place from 2012 to 2018. The project was attended by the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, Holding Company for Electricity and the German Development Cooperation Sector through the German Development Bank (KFW). The project provided 6,800 jobs during the construction phase. In addition, the project will replace the ancient Asyut barricades established more than 100 years ago and provide the region with irrigation water. Its hydroelectric power plant will provide 32 megawatts of electricity to cover about 130,000 households of clean electricity. Reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by at least 147,000 tons per year. Farmers affected by the construction were compensated by the Egyptian authorities
