آفاق الطاقة المتجددة في مصر Prospects for renewable energy in Egypt

وضح تقرير " آفاق الطاقة المتجددة في مصر " الصادر عن الوكالة الدولية للطاقة المتجددة (أيرينا)" أن الطاقات المتجددة يمكنها أن تحقق وفورات فى التكاليف قدرها 900 مليون دولار سنويًا لمصر.
تمتلك مصر من الإمكانيات ما يجعلها قادرة على توليد حتى 53% من اجمالي الكهرباء المنتجة من مصادر الطاقة المتجددة بحلول عام  2035 طبقُا لأحدث تقرير صادر عن الوكالة الدولية للطاقة المتجددة. يخلص تقرير آفاق الطاقة المتجددة في مصر- الذي تم توزيعه خلال المؤتمر رفيع المستوى الذي عقد بالقاهرة إلى أن مواصلة السعى لزيادة نشر استخدام الطاقات المتجددة من شانه أن يخفض من فاتورة تكلفة الطاقة بقيمة 900 مليون دولار سنويًا.

 يمكن أن توفر الطاقة المتجددة حوالي ربع إمدادات الطاقة النهائية الكلية بمصر مع ذلك فإن تحقيق أهداف أكبر يتطلب استثمارات فى الطاقة المتجددة تزداد قيمتها من 2.5 مليار دولار سنويًا طبقا للسياسات الحالية لتصل إلى  6.5 مليار دولار سنويًا. تعتزم مصر في ظل الخطط الراهنة إلى زيادة نسبة مساهمة الطاقة المتجددة إلى 20%  بحلول عام 2022 و 42% بحلول عام 2035 من اجمالي الكهرباء المنتجة ، حيث تعمل جاهدة على مجابهة الطلب المتزايد على الطاقة الكهربائية. ويصل إجمالي القدرات المركبة  من المصادر المتجددة حتى الآن نـحو 3.9 جيجا وات من الطاقة المائية والرياح والشمس.

 قال د. محمد شاكر وزير الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة : "إن هذا التقرير يقدم لمصر خارطة طريق- استنادًا على الطموحات والخطط الراهنة- لتعزيز مكانتنا كمركز رائدًا للطاقة يربط  كل من أوروبا، وآسيا، وإفريقيا"، و ايجاد فرص عمل ، والتنمية الاقتصادية، وتعزيز قدرات التصنيع المحلى تعتبر جوهر برنامج الطاقات المتجددة، وبمساندة أيرينا يمكننا مواصلة تحقيق الخطط الموضوعة لزيادة القدرات المركبة من خلال السياسات الفعالة، وأحدث تقنيات الطاقة المتجددة.

يشير التقرير يمكن لصانعي السياسات في مصر الاستفادة من إعادة التقييم الدوري لاستراتيجية الطاقة طويلة الأمد والذي يعكس التطورات السريعة  في تكنولوجيات الطاقة المتجددة والانخفاض فى تكاليف توليد الكهرباء من الطاقة المتجددة".

  قال عدنان أمين  الأمين العام للوكالة الدولية للطاقة المتجددة :" إن الانخفاض الملحوظ فى الطاقات المتجددة فى السنوات الأخيرة شجع الحكومات في جميع أرجاء العالم لإعادة النظر في استراتيجيات الطاقة حتى تعكس الاقتصاديات الجديدة للطاقات المتجددة بشكل أفضل، كما أن إمكانيات مصر من الطاقات المتجددة هائلة، وتتحرك الحكومة بحزم نحو الإسراع بنشرها، ويعكس مجمع بنبان للطاقة الشمسية بقدراته المبهرة تلك الدفعة القوية غير المسبوقة.

  أضاف عدنان : بناء على تلك الانجازات التي تحققت، أمام مصر الفرصة لرفع سقف طموحاتها الذى ينطوى على زيادة الاستثمارات بنسبة كبيرة، يستلزم جذب هذه الاستثمارات وضع أطر سياسات عامة مستقرة،  وتشريعات تنظيمية بسيطة توفر الوضوح والثقة للمستثمرين، كما أن الاستثمارات في الطاقة المتجددة لا تفي فقط بالاحتياجات المتزايدة للطاقة، وإنما  تساعد أيضًا في تعزيز النمو الاقتصادي، وخلق الوظائف، وتطوير التصنيع المحلي".

 

الوكالة الدولية للطاقة المتجددة:

منظمة حكومية دولية تدعم البلدان في انتقالها نحو مستقبل مستدام للطاقة وتعمل كمنصة رئيسية للتعاون الدولي، ومركزا للتميز، ومستودعا للسياسة والتكنولوجيا والموارد والمعرفة المالية في مجال الطاقة المتجددة  ومن خلال أعضاءها 159 دولة (158 دولة إضافة إلى الاتحاد الأوروبي)- إلى جانب 24 دولة فى مرحلة الانضمام، كما تشارك بفاعلية- تشجيع تبني جميع أشكال الطاقة المتجددة على نطاق واسع وبصورة متزايدة واستخدامها على نحو مستدام، متضمنة الطاقة الحيوية، وطاقة باطن الأرض، والطاقة المائية، وطاقة المحيطات، والطاقة الشمسية وطاقة الرياح، فى سعيها لتحقيق الطاقة مستدامة، وتيسير الحصول عليها، وتأمين الطاقة، وتحقيق النمو الاقتصادي منخفض الكربون.

  

Renewable energies can bring cost savings of $ 900 million a year to Egypt, according to the Renewable Energy Prospects in Egypt report issued by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

Egypt has the potential to generate up to 53 percent of the total electricity produced from renewable sources by 2035, according to the latest report by the International Renewable Energy Agency.

Renewable Energy Outlook in Egypt, discussed at high-level conference held in Cairo from October 9:11, concludes that continuing to seek greater use of renewable energies would reduce the energy cost bill by $ 900 million annually.

 Renewable energy can provide about a quarter of Egypt's total final energy supply. However, achieving larger targets requires renewable energy investments that are worth more than $ 2.5 billion per year under current policies to $ 6.5 billion a year. Under current plans, Egypt planed to increase the share of renewable energy to 20 percent by 2022 and 42 percent by 2035 of the total electricity produced, as it strives to meet the increasing demand for electricity. The total installed capacity from renewable sources to date is about 3.9 GW of hydropower, wind and sun.

Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of electricity and Renewable energies “This report provides Egypt with a road map - based on current ambitions and plans - to strengthen our position as a leading energy hub linking Europe, Asia and Africa," added at the core of the renewable energies program, with the support of IRENA we can continue to achieve the plans to increase the installed capacity through effective policies and the latest renewable energy technologies.

The report notes that policy makers in Egypt can benefit from the periodic reassessment of the long-term energy strategy, which reflects the rapid development of renewable energy technologies and the reduction in electricity generation costs from renewable energy.

  “The remarkable decline in renewable energies in recent years has encouraged governments around the world to rethink energy strategies to better reflect the new economies of renewable energies. Egypt's potential for renewable energies is enormous” said Adnan Amin, Secretary General of the International Renewable Energy Agency. The government is determined to accelerate its deployment, and the Benpan solar station reflects its impressive capabilities.

  Mr. Adnan added: Based on these achievements, Egypt has the opportunity to raise the ceiling of its ambitions to increase investments by a large percentage. The attraction of these investments requires the establishment of stable policy frameworks, and regulatory regulations that provide clarity and confidence to investors, renewable energy not only meets the growing energy needs, but also promotes economic growth, job creation and the development of domestic manufacturing.
