صرح د.محمد شاكر وزير الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة انه في اطار قيام وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة بتنفيذ استراتيجية الدولة نحو زيادة حجم الطاقات المتجددة وخفض استخدام الوقود الاحفوري و تحويل مصر لمركز انتاج الهيدروجين الاخضر بالمنطقة استغلالا للمزايا النسبية لمصر من توافر الآراضي اللازمة لانتاج حجم هائل من الكهرباء من الطاقات المتجددة وكذا موقع مصر الجغرافي الذي يمكنها من تصدير الطاقة الخضراء و الهيدروجين الاخضر ومشتقاته الى اوروبا وكافة قارات العالم
قامت الوزارة خلال فعاليات مؤتمر المناخ COP27 بتوقيع العديد من الاتفاقيات مع المطورين والمستثمرين من القطاع الخاص المحلي والدولي لمشروعات باستثمار

حيث تم توقيع عدد من مذكرات التفاهم مع شركات وتحالفات دولية ومحلية لاجراء الدراسات اللازمة لتنفيذ مشروعات انتاج الكهرباء من طاقة الرياح بقدرات تصل الى 28 ألف ميجاوات بحجم إستثمارات متوقع يصل الى 34 مليار دولار و فرص عمل مباشرة وغير مباشرة تصل الى 50 الف فرصة ، و تساهم في خفض انبعاثات الكربون بحجم يصل الى 65 مليون طن سنويا
وخلال فعاليات يوم الطاقة بمؤتمر المناخ تم توقيع عدد 9 اتفاقيات اطارية لتنفيذ مشروعات انتاج الهيدروجين الاخضر ومشتقاته بإستخدام الطاقات المتجددة من طاقة الرياح والطاقة الشمسية بقدرات تصل الى 47 الف ميجاوات و 24 الف ميجاوات من قدرات التحليل الكهربائي بحجم استثمارات تصل الى 85 مليار دولار و فرص عمل مباشرة تصل الى 45 الف فرصة وغير مباشرة 230 الف فرصة ، ومن المستهدف ان تسهم هذه المشروعات في خفض انبعاثات الكربون بحجم يصل الى 39 مليون طن سنويًا
تم توقيع التسع اتفاقيات بالشراكة مع الهيئة العامة للمنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس وصندوق مصر السيادي مضيفا ان الوصول الى توقيع هذه الاتفاقيات هو نتاج عمل استمر لمدة تزيد عن ستة اشهر مع الشركاء الحكوميين والمطورين من القطاع الخاص وكانت الوزارة خلال تلك الفترة تسير على التوازي لوضع الاستراتيجية الوطنية للهيدروجين الأخضر والتي تم اعلان الاطار العام لها خلال يوم الطاقة بفعاليات مؤتمر المناخ
اكد الوزير ان الفترة المقبلة ستشهد العمل الجاد والدؤوب لتوقيع العقود النهائية للمشروعات والبدء في التنفيذ

Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, said that within the framework of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy's implementation of the state's strategy towards increasing the volume of renewable energies, reducing the use of fossil fuels, transforming Egypt into a green hydrogen production center in the region, taking advantage of Egypt's comparative advantages in terms of the availability of land necessary to produce a huge volume of electricity from Renewable energies, as well as Egypt's geographical location, which enables it to export green energy, green hydrogen and its derivatives to Europe, and the rest of
the world's continents
During the COP27 Climate Conference, the Ministry signed many agreements with developers and investors from the local and international private sector for investment projects, via direct foreign investment.
A number of memorandums of understanding were signed with international and local companies and alliances to conduct the necessary studies to implement electricity production projects from wind energy with capacities of up to 28,000 MW, with an expected investment volume of $34 US billion dollars, with direct and indirect job opportunities of up to 50,000.
In reducing carbon emissions by a volume that may reach 65 million tons annually
During the activities of the Energy Day at the Climate Conference, 9 framework agreements were signed to implement green hydrogen production projects and its derivatives using renewable energies from wind and solar energy with capacities of up to 47,000 megawatts and 24,000 megawatts of electrolysis capacity, with investments amounting to $85 US billion dollars and job opportunities, directly up to 45 thousand opportunities and indirect 230 thousand opportunities.It is intended that these projects contribute to reducing carbon emissions by a volume of up to 39 million tons annually.
And these nine agreements were signed in partnership with the General Authority for the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal and the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, and reaching the signing of these agreements is the result of work that lasted for more than six months with government partners and developers from the private sector. During that period, the Ministry was working in parallel to develop the national strategy for green hydrogen, which the general framework was announced during the Energy Day at the activities of the Climate Conference.
The Minister also confirmed that the coming period will witness serious and persistent work to sign final contracts for projects and start implementation.
